Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Ytsow (the “Service”). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Ytsow.
Last updated: October 15, 2026
1. Tool only — you are responsible
Ytsow is a technical tool that helps you request available formats for a link you provide. We do not create, own, upload, host, curate, or control the videos or audio you choose. We do not decide what you download, and we do not review or approve your links.
You alone are responsible for confirming that you have the right to access and save any content, for complying with YouTube’s Terms, copyright law, and all other applicable laws, and for everything you do with files obtained through the Service. Any misuse is your responsibility, not ours.
2. The Service
Ytsow provides browser-based utilities that let you paste a public YouTube link and attempt to list or download formats returned for that link. Features may change, pause, or stop without notice. We do not guarantee that any specific video, Short, format, quality, bitrate, or download will be available or successful.
Download links or streams may come from third-party sources or the original platform’s infrastructure. Ytsow is not a media library and is not a party to your relationship with YouTube, Google, creators, or rights holders.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use Ytsow only for lawful purposes. Without limitation, you must not:
- Download content you do not own or lack clear permission or legal right to save
- Violate YouTube’s Terms of Service, copyright, neighboring rights, or other applicable law
- Redistribute, sell, publicly perform, or commercially exploit others’ content without a valid license
- Circumvent technical protection measures where doing so is unlawful
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape abusively, or reverse engineer the Service
- Use the Service to infringe privacy, security, or intellectual property rights
We may refuse, rate-limit, or block access if we believe the Service is being abused, but we have no obligation to monitor your use.
4. No legal advice; no endorsement of downloads
Nothing on Ytsow is legal advice. Guides, FAQs, or disclaimers are general information only. Providing a download tool does not mean we encourage or authorize infringement. You must make your own legal assessment before downloading or using any file.
5. No affiliation
Ytsow is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. Trademarks belong to their respective owners. Nothing on the Service implies those companies approve of your downloads.
6. Intellectual property
The Ytsow name, logo, and site design are ours or used with permission. Media you obtain through the tool remains subject to the rights of its owners and platforms. We do not claim ownership of YouTube videos or audio you retrieve, and we are not responsible for clearing rights on your behalf.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation; accurate format lists; or that any download will complete, remain available, or be lawful for your intended use.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ytsow and its operators, contributors, and providers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from: your use of or inability to use the Service; any content you request, download, store, share, or publish; claims by rights holders or platforms; or third-party services.
Without limiting the above, we are not liable for copyright claims, account actions by YouTube or others, device damage, malware from third-party URLs, or legal costs you incur because of your downloads. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of zero (if you paid nothing) or the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim (if any).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
9. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ytsow and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: your use of the Service; links or content you submit; files you download or distribute; your violation of these Terms, YouTube’s terms, or any law; or any dispute between you and a rights holder, platform, or other third party.
10. Third-party services
The Service may rely on third-party hosting, APIs, CDNs, or media endpoints. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, or policies. Your use of YouTube remains solely between you and YouTube / Google under their terms.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time without liability to you.
